Little Manila Foundation: 2011 Remember and Reclaim Filipino American History Calendar NOW AVAILABLE

Posted by FAN Admin in Back To Our Roots, FAN Announcements, Home on 12 14th, 2010

Dear Community Members, Friends and Family,

It’s that time of year again — don’t forget to order your 2011 Remember and Reclaim Filipino American History Calendar. They are hot off the press! If you had your 2010 Calendar, you would know today was Andres Bonifacio Day, a day to celebrate the legacy of the fearless founder of the Katipunan and our national hero, who sparked the Philippine Revolution. And that’s just one example of all you will learn from our calendar!

Each month features a historic photograph from the Filipino American National Historical Society’s extensive archives and important dates in Philippine and Filipino American History. This year’s cover marks the Crosstown Freeway’s destruction of Little Manila, which forever changed the neighborhood, but couldn’t erase our memories or our history.

At only $10, they are great gifts for anyone in your life: family members, relatives, co-workers, babysitters, activists, scholars, Nanays and Tatays, Lolas and Lolas, aunties and uncles, ninangs and ninongs, cousins, Manangs, Manongs, Indays, white elephant exchanges, secret santas, stocking stuffers, and for yourselves!
