Best parties in Las Vegas

If you like dance music and staying up late, a nightclub in Vegas is the place to be. However, lines can be long and drinks can get expensive.

Billionaire David Bonderman threw himself an opulent 70th birthday party at Wynn Las Vegas in 2007. It featured performances from artists like Swizz Beatz and Paul McCartney.

Desert Move

There are many things to love about living in the Entertainment Capital of the World. From concerts to sports and bull-riding, Vegas has it all. The city also offers the perks of a big-city lifestyle, including a variety of restaurants and bars that are open 24/7.

But it wasn’t always like this. Before the likes of XS Nightclub and Marquee came along, Las Vegas was known for more unconventional parties at nondescript locations. One of those parties was Desert Move. This was a dance music-focused event that is credited with putting Vegas on the map as an EDM destination. It helped pave the way for the influx of EDM-focused clubs in the 2010s. These venues shook up the Strip’s nightlife scene with high-profile DJs and performers, cutting-edge sound systems, and special visual effects.

Paris Hilton’s 21st Birthday Party

It’s no secret that Paris Hilton knows how to throw a party. The socialite recently celebrated her 21st birthday in five different locations, including London, New York, Tokyo and Las Vegas.

The hotel heiress stunned in a pink, backless dress featuring a sash that read “bride” and a gorgeous tiara. She also wore a pair of matching sunglasses, topped off with a blond ponytail with long front bangs.

Nicky Hilton Rothchild channeled her big sis for her Halloween costume this year, wearing a close replica of the Julian Macdonald silver chainmail dress Paris wore to her own 21st birthday party in 2002. She accessorized her look with a large diamond choker necklace, strappy heels and butterfly clips. The mother of two looked stunning. She was accompanied by her doting hubby Carter Reum.

David Bonderman’s 70th Birthday Party

The Rolling Stones are a big draw for Vegas clubs, but the former Beatle Paul McCartney was the real star of this party. Billionaire businessman David Bonderman, who co-founded private equity behemoth TPG Capital, threw himself a 70th birthday bash with a performance from McCartney and CCR frontman John Fogerty. The event cost a reported $7 million.

Celebrities make appearances at Vegas clubs all the time, but usually it’s a pretty low-key affair–they sit at their table sipping champagne and shouting into the mic a few times. Katy Perry did something more memorable during her 2022 performance at Zouk Nightclub, tossing slices of pepperoni pizza to guests on the general admission floor.

These days, pool parties are a dime a dozen in Las Vegas. But they wouldn’t exist without Desert Move, the infamous daytime party that first took place in 1996.

Wynn Field Club

For sports fans and music lovers alike, WFC is a one-of-a-kind venue inside the new domed Allegiant Stadium. This field-level club spans the entire north end zone and offers ticketed guests an upgraded high-energy nightlife experience during sports or concerts. The nearly 11,000-square foot space has featured appearances from Wynn Nightlife’s roster of DJs and features premium bottle service.

During Raiders games, fans who purchase access to the Wynn Field Club can enjoy standing room-only space with incredible line of sight to the opposing team’s sideline and the action on the field. The club also boasts 29 booths for table reservations.

Patrons with a ticket or table reservation enter through a dedicated entrance on the east side of the stadium, skipping the craziness at the main gates. A host will then assist you to the club.

National Finals Rodeo

The National Finals Rodeo (NFR) is the biggest week of the year in Cowboy Country. From bareback riding to barrel racing, the NFR brings the best cowboys and cowgirls to Las Vegas to compete in a 10-day tournament that is one of the biggest parties in Sin City.

NFR happens in the first full week of December at the Thomas & Mack Center on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. It is a big event that has hosted NBA games, arena football games and even Phish concerts in the past.
